The Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office is one of the finest law enforcement agencies in this country, and I intend to keep it that way. 

Public Safety is our top priority and we best serve our citizens by providing professional law enforcement services.  This requires dedication to public service, the training and tools needed for deputies to perform complex tasks with a high level of proficiency, and support from their leadership.

 

I have served with the Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office for 27 years, as a Deputy Sheriff, Patrol Sergeant, Detective Sergeant and Chief Criminal Deputy.  For the last seven years I have managed operations for the Sheriff’s Office, while also serving as the Lower Columbia Major Crimes Team Commander and as an Assistant Commander for the Lower Columbia SWAT Team.  I have worked to modernize our operations and increase our staffing to help our deputies be both efficient and effective in their service to the citizens.

 

As Sheriff, I will work to continue this upward trajectory by developing the next generation of law enforcement leaders.  I will provide deputies with the training, tools, and support they need to provide professional law enforcement services to the citizens of Cowlitz County.
