Troy Brightbill for Cowlitz County Sheriff

Law Enforcement is a profession based on public service which requires a strong moral compass and a willingness to sacrifice for others.

Much is asked of a law enforcement officer - a strong background in criminal law, the ability to defend yourself and others, investigative skills to solve crimes - and the temperament to deliver on all these tasks with professionalism.

Professional Law Enforcement is the standard for the Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office.  We aim to be the best at what we do.  To deliver this level of service, our deputies receive quality training in criminal law, defensive tactics, emergency driving, firearms and investigative techniques.  We also make effective use of technology to do these tasks efficiently and to build strong cases against criminal offenders.
